There is a screen in the shop now, and local businesses can be on it.
A haircut here takes twenty to thirty minutes, and for most of it there is not a lot to look at. The screen runs all day, every day the shop is open, and the people watching it live round the corner - Longhill, Bilton Grange, Bilton, the Fleet Estate, Greatfield, Preston Road, Summergangs, Marfleet, Garden Village, Sutton-on-Hull and Ings. When a boiler packs in or a fence blows down, the name people already know is the one they ring.
One price covers three things:
THE SCREEN ADVERT. A full slide of your own in the rotation - your logo, what you do, your number, your website and your Facebook page. Between the adverts there are quizzes, local facts and photos of the work, so people actually watch the screen instead of tuning it out.
YOUR OWN LISTING WEBSITE. Built for you on the front of this one, at bobsbarbers.co.uk/business/your-business. What you do, photos of your work, your hours and a big call button that follows people down the page on a phone. It is indexed in Google and submitted to the search engines. Nothing to register, nothing to renew, and it can be live the same day.
A SPOT IN THE CARD RACK. Right by the door. The screen gets you remembered and the card gets you rung - somebody sees your advert while they are sat in the chair, then picks your card up on the way out. Cards can be printed to match your screen advert, 1,000 for 60 pounds with the design included.
The screen carries 25 adverts in total, so there is a limit to how many go on it.
